We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Front of House Manager for our Creve Coeur, MO location. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned professional with a robust background in high-volume restaurant and/or entertainment complex operations. Beyond team leadership, your responsibilities will include strategic bar and inventory management, active participation in promotional events, and the rigorous enforcement of all quality and safety protocols, particularly those pertaining to food and beverage service. You'll ensure all necessary licenses are current, create optimized schedules, and collaborate closely with the operations team to establish and achieve business objectives that drive profitability and maximize customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, adeptly managing diverse personalities and skillfully diffusing challenging situations to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all patrons. This role demands significant availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays , as these are our peak times for restaurant and entertainment complex operations. Responsibilities As a Front of House Manager, your core duties will include:
Leading and Developing Staff:
Taking charge of the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, comprehensive training, performance management, and scheduling for a large Front of House team (15+ employees). You'll emphasize adherence to stringent restaurant service standards and company policies.
Ensuring Exceptional Guest Experiences:
Proactively fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere, expertly resolving guest complaints with a focus on quick and effective solutions and actively engaging with patrons to solicit feedback on their dining and overall entertainment experience.
Operational Oversight & Efficiency:
Overseeing all daily shift operations, meticulously coordinating Front of House and Back of House activities to ensure seamless food and beverage service in a high-volume setting. This includes accurate end-of-day cash reconciliation, rigorous control of operational costs, and optimizing labor efficiency.
Inventory & Menu Management:
Strategically ordering and managing inventory within budget constraints, maintaining impeccable food safety and quality standards, and ensuring accurate preparation and service of all food and beverages. This includes hands-on, detailed management of bar inventory, conducting regular audits, and minimizing waste.
Hands-on Operational Support:
Providing active support across various operational areas as needed, including efficient expo line management, high-volume drink preparation, prompt food delivery, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all dining and public areas. Qualifications We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who meets the following qualifications and possesses a proven track record in high-volume restaurant management, ideally within an entertainment complex: 4+ years of progressive experience in a leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or entertainment complex, with a strong emphasis on Front of House operations. Demonstrated expertise in hiring, training, and effectively managing a team of 15+ employees in a dynamic restaurant setting, including performance evaluations and conflict resolution. Direct and extensive experience bartending and/or serving in a high-volume environment is essential. Proven track record of success in managing comprehensive inventory systems and controlling operational costs within a large-scale restaurant environment, including experience with POS systems, inventory software, and financial reporting. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills , with a demonstrated ability to effectively diffuse tense situations, resolve conflicts, and build strong relationships with both guests and staff in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Proven ability to effectively delegate responsibilities, optimize staffing levels, and maximize resources to ensure highly efficient Front of House operations during peak periods. A decisive, observant, and critically thinking leader capable of making rapid, informed decisions to maintain seamless restaurant service and guest satisfaction under pressure.. Familiarity with marketing and promotional activities within a restaurant or entertainment venue is a plus.
