Job Overview The Assistant Clubhouse Manager helps oversee the daily operation of The Clubhouse at Twin Pines, including the bar, food service, golf simulator, recreational activities, leagues and private events. This is a hands-on position. The Assistant Manager will regularly work alongside bartenders and other employees while helping maintain excellent service, accurate cash handling, a clean facility and a welcoming environment for members and guests. The Assistant Manager will serve as the manager on duty when the General Manager or owner is unavailable. Duties Open and close the clubhouse according to established procedures Supervise employees and assign duties during scheduled shifts Provide friendly and professional service to members and guests Bartend, take food orders and assist with food preparation when needed Operate the point-of-sale system and verify cash drawers Monitor alcohol service and enforce age-verification and responsible-service policies Help train new employees and reinforce operating procedures Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage Monitor inventory of beer, liquor, food and operating supplies Receive deliveries and report shortages or discrepancies Maintain cleanliness of the bar, kitchen, dining areas, restrooms and recreation spaces Assist customers with golf simulator reservations and basic equipment operation Help coordinate leagues, tournaments, parties and private events Respond to customer concerns and resolve routine service issues Document incidents, equipment problems and significant shift activity Help promote memberships, events and clubhouse activities Ensure the building is secured and properly closed at the end of the night Perform other reasonable duties necessary for clubhouse operations Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old Previous bar, restaurant, hospitality or supervisory experience preferred Dependable, organized and comfortable taking responsibility for a shift Strong customer-service and communication skills Ability to handle cash and complete basic inventory calculations accurately Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays and special events Ability to remain calm and professional when handling customer or employee concerns Basic computer and point-of-sale skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Alcohol-service and food-safety certification preferred or willingness to obtain The ideal candidate is dependable, outgoing and willing to lead by example. This person should be comfortable managing a busy shift while still jumping behind the bar, helping with food, cleaning tables or assisting customers with the simulator. They should take ownership of the clubhouse and treat members, guests and employees with respect.
