K Plan Shift Meals Job Type:
Full Time (~45-50 hours per week). 6-7 shifts per week with a set schedule range.Responsibilities Cooking:
Co-lead kitchen staff during all scheduled rushes as the wheel man. Cooking AND communicating with your staff are equally important. You run the line when necessary and ensure proper completion of all kitchen side work.Kitchen Staff Management:
Proactive management of kitchen staff including developmental and disciplinary meetings, conversations, and coaching.Cleanliness/Appearance:
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness & restaurant cleanliness per Post standards.Inventory Counts:
Help perform full month end inventory counts and weekly hot item counts. Help audit items outside of the variance count thresholds. Maintaining standard Post food COGS.Product Consistency:
Maintaining menu item production consistency. Includes recipe production.Opening/Closing :
Responsible for properly opening and closing the kitchen. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Minimum of 1 year cooking experience Strong managerial skills in terms of delegating, documentation, and coaching/mentoring employees Attention to detail, responsible, and punctual Personable, friendly, and not afraid to smile Organizational skills and ability to use email Collaborative approach to problem solving Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Have attained a high school diploma or GED Prior restaurant or hospitality industry management experience Familiarity with SpotOn Point of Sale system Inventory count experience and inventory controls Substantive knowledge of food and cooking techniques.Benefits
