Restaurant General Manager New Restaurant Concept The Lodge at Banner Elk | Banner Elk, NC About the Opportunity The Lodge at Banner Elk is launching an exciting new restaurant concept and is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead it from the ground up. This is an opportunity to build something special. You'll be responsible for hiring and developing the team, establishing operational standards, driving financial performance, and creating an exceptional guest experience. We're looking for more than a manager—we're looking for a leader. Someone who understands every aspect of restaurant operations, leads by example, develops great people, and takes ownership of the business. Position Summary Reporting to the General Manager of The Lodge at Banner Elk, the Restaurant General Manager oversees all front and back of house operations while partnering closely with the Kitchen Manager and hotel leadership team. This role is responsible for team development, guest satisfaction, operational excellence, food quality, financial performance, and creating a culture that delivers exceptional hospitality every day.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$60,000-$70,000, based on experience. Lead with a hands-on, service-first approach. Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality. Set clear expectations and develop future leaders. Operations Oversee all daily restaurant operations. Deliver exceptional guest experiences. Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and service. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards. Continuously improve operational efficiency. Kitchen & Food Operations Partner with the Kitchen Manager to ensure consistent food quality and execution. Understand kitchen operations, recipes, inventory, food safety, and labor management. Support efficient kitchen workflow while maintaining high standards. Financial Management Manage labor, food and beverage costs, inventory, and purchasing. Analyze financial reports and key performance metrics. Drive profitability while protecting the guest experience. Qualifications 3-5 years of progressive restaurant management experience. Strong knowledge of both front and back of house operations. Solid understanding of restaurant financials, labor management, food cost, and inventory. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Strong food and beverage knowledge with a working understanding of kitchen operations.
