Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure exceptional food quality, and maintain a vibrant, efficient work environment. This position will report to the Food Director and assist in hiring and firing of employees. Your expertise will drive the success of our food service offerings, from fun dining to catering events, while upholding the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and excellence. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to menu specifications. Manage inventory control and food production processes to optimize costs and minimize waste. Implement and monitor food safety sanitizing procedures in compliance with health regulations. Coordinate menu planning for various service types, including fine dining, banquets, and catering events. Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining high standards of service. Assist in hiring/firing of employees Train new BOH employees Requirements Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervising experience with teams of cooks and kitchen staff. Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Experience in banquet service, catering, or large-scale event coordination is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage inventory control, cost management, and food service operations effectively. Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and culinary trends within the hospitality industry. Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through outstanding food quality.
