Assistant General Manager Job Summary At Old Main Restaurant + Bar in Crete, Nebraska, we offer a dynamic hospitality experience under one roof. Downstairs features an upscale fine dining atmosphere centering on exceptional prime steaks, craft cocktails, and refined service. Upstairs transitions into a vibrant, high-energy social lounge complete with a self-serve beer tap wall, state-of-the-art golf simulators, pool tables, and an elevated bar food menu. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and hands-on Assistant General Manager (AGM) to bridge both concepts, lead our front-of-house (FOH) operations, and ensure a seamless, unforgettable guest experience across both levels. Manage daily floor operations across both the fine dining downstairs and the interactive lounge upstairs, balancing a polished fine-dining cadence with a fast-paced, high-volume entertainment environment.
Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, train, inspire, and mentor servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff. Conduct ongoing education regarding upscale steak cuts, fine wine pairings, craft cocktails, and high-end service standards.
Entertainment & Beverage Management:
Oversee the bar and beverage program, including inventory control and execution for craft cocktails, the beer tap wall, and wine lists. Coordinate daily operational checks for the golf simulators and pool tables to ensure top-tier guest experiences.
Guest Relations & Hospitality Standards:
Set the gold standard for hospitality. Warmly welcome guests, manage reservation systems, seamlessly handle table flow, and resolve guest feedback with tact, professionalism, and quick problem-solving.
Administrative & Financial Alignment:
Partner with the General Manager on labor cost management, scheduling, inventory tracking, POS optimization, and maintaining strict health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
3+ years of hospitality management experience (GM or AGM level preferred) within a high-volume, upscale dining, steakhouse, or multi-concept entertainment venue.
Culinary & Beverage Savvy:
Strong foundational knowledge of prime beef cuts, culinary preparation, craft beverage programs, and wine pairings.
Operational Adaptability:
Proven ability to pivot effortlessly between managing a formal fine dining room and a high-energy interactive lounge and bar space.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficient with modern POS hardware/software, inventory management tools, and online reservation platforms.
Leadership & Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal, conflict-resolution, organizational, and motivational skills.
