Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager - Golf Course and be at the forefront of delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring smooth operational management. This vibrant role combines leadership, customer service excellence, and operational oversight to create a welcoming and efficient environment for golfers and visitors alike. As an integral part of our management team, you will oversee daily activities, supervise staff, and contribute to the overall success of our prestigious golf facility. Your proactive approach and passion for hospitality will help elevate our standards and foster a memorable experience for every guest. Responsibilities - Team Management Setting the schedule for club house attendants and cart assistants Approving time off, shift changes, and handling call outs Coaching team members on best practices and company policies. Bring any continued issues to supervisors' attention. Support new hires with onboarding and training Be available to answer questions and support the staff when the manager on-call.
Operations Ordering:
Track inventory and order needed items for all internal spaces Ensure compliance with all liquor guidelines and regulations Maintain an orderly, clean, and welcoming clubhouse for all customers Customer service Enforce consistent scheduling and tracking practices across all attendants Including but not limited to, arrival status, in/out times, cart notes, etc. Encourage pairings and other creative strategies to improve on time tee offs and overall pace and experience Maintain a 2-hour pace from tee off at the first tee to the last putt on the final green Work with Superintendent and other Clubhouse Assistant Manager to ensure that each customer has an excellent experience with information regarding events, course happenings, operational changes, latest course conditions and any closures. Expectations - 5-6 days per week including Saturday and Sunday (in season 35-45hr/week) An assistant manager will cover all events and outings eg. Men's League, Scramble, Women's League, Glow Golf, Private Events Support company in accomplishing the goals of the business and managing the larger team. Work with the Superintendent and the outside team to support course maintenance and balance customer needs with the needs of the grass Experience Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within a golf course or hospitality setting is essential. Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively in fast-paced environments. Experience in event management—planning, executing, and overseeing golf tournaments or similar events—preferred. Strong operational management background including shift management, budgeting, cash handling, and resource planning. Familiarity with resort or hospitality industry standards enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing and data analysis is required. Excellent managerial communication skills to motivate staff and coordinate with various departments seamlessly. Knowledge of health & safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
