Captain Glow's is a brand-new mini golf and arcade entertainment facility coming to Marlboro, NJ, and we're looking for an energetic, responsible, and hands-on General Manager to help us open our doors and build an amazing guest experience from day one. Captain Glow's will offer mini golf, arcade games, birthday parties, and family entertainment, and we're looking for someone who loves working with people and is excited to be part of something new. What You'll Do Pre-Opening & Launch Help prepare Captain Glow's for its grand opening Assist with training and onboarding employees Help establish daily operating procedures and staff expectations Help create a fun, welcoming, and professional team culture Test and prepare arcade games, mini golf, POS systems, and other equipment Assist with events and promotional activities Daily Operations Oversee the day-to-day operation of the facility Lead, supervise, and motivate employees Create and manage employee schedules Ensure excellent customer service throughout the facility Oversee the mini golf and arcade areas Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance Handle opening and closing procedures Manage cash and POS transactions Monitor inventory, supplies, and arcade prizes Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate maintenance when necessary Ensure employees follow company policies and safety procedures Birthday Parties & Events Birthday parties will be an important part of Captain Glow's business, and the General Manager will oversee the party experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities will include:
Overseeing birthday parties and private events Ensuring party hosts provide excellent customer service Making sure rooms are clean, organized, and properly prepared Ensuring parties run on schedule Communicating with parents and party guests Helping resolve any issues that arise during events Training staff on party procedures and customer service expectations Looking for opportunities to create memorable experiences for our guests Leadership & Growth Build and maintain a strong, dependable team Train employees and provide ongoing coaching Hold staff accountable while maintaining a positive workplace Monitor sales and identify opportunities to increase revenue Help create promotions and special events Develop relationships with local schools, organizations, and businesses Help establish Captain Glow's as a go-to entertainment destination in Marlboro and the surrounding communities Communicate regularly with ownership regarding staffing, sales, operations, maintenance, and customer feedback Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Energetic and outgoing Friendly and comfortable interacting with children, parents, and families A natural leader who can motivate a team Reliable, responsible, and organized Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Hands-on and willing to jump in wherever needed Able to handle customer concerns calmly and professionally Comfortable managing employees and enforcing standards Detail-oriented and able to multitask Excited about helping launch a brand-new business Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Qualifications Previous management or supervisory experience preferred Hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, retail, recreation, or customer-service experience is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Cash-handling/POS experience preferred Must be comfortable being on your feet for extended periods Must be available for evenings and weekends Compensation Starting pay: $20/hour Additional opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility as Captain Glow's grows.
