Restaurant General Manager Union, NJ A growing, high-volume restaurant is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations, develop a strong team, and drive overall restaurant performance. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring a consistent and efficient guest experience. Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop managers and hourly team members. Build a positive, accountable team culture focused on service, teamwork, and performance. Manage labor, scheduling, inventory, ordering, food costs, and operating expenses. Monitor sales and financial performance while identifying opportunities to improve profitability. Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable health and safety regulations. Handle guest concerns professionally and implement effective service recovery when needed. Conduct regular manager meetings, team training, and performance reviews. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and develop internal talent for future leadership opportunities. Partner with leadership to execute operational initiatives and achieve business goals. Lead by example and remain actively involved in the restaurant during peak operating periods.

Qualifications:

3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume environment. Strong understanding of restaurant operations, labor management, inventory, and financial controls. Proven ability to recruit, train, coach, and retain a strong team. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high operational standards. Strong guest service mindset with the ability to lead through challenging situations. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
