The Shift Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring strong store performance, customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, cash handling, security, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for driving sales growth by monitoring store performance, forecasting sales goals, maintaining product availability and merchandising standards, and ensuring accurate pricing, promotions, and signage. The Shift Manager serves as a customer service leader, fostering positive guest relationships, resolving concerns, and promoting a welcoming shopping experience while maintaining high operational and food safety standards. In addition, the Shift Manager provides direct supervision of store personnel, including scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and recommending hiring, discipline, and retention actions. The position oversees labor budgets, timekeeping, vendor compliance, inventory integrity, cash control procedures, daily reporting, and bank deposits. Successful candidates must possess strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, a high school diploma or GED, and 2 to 3 years of relevant supervisory experience. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and completion of ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire.
