HOUSE MANAGER / PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER
Location:
Henderson, NV Job Type:
Full-Time, On-Site Schedule:
Full-time with flexibility based on household needs
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, proactive House Manager / Professional Organizer to oversee the day-to-day organization, presentation, and operational readiness of a large private residence in Henderson, Nevada. This is a highly hands-on position for someone who takes pride in creating order, maintaining systems, and ensuring that a home consistently operates at a high standard. The ideal candidate naturally notices when something is out of place, running low, disorganized, or needs attention—and takes initiative to resolve it without requiring constant direction. This position will work closely with a Personal Assistant / Executive Assistant who will handle administrative coordination, scheduling, household vendors and maintenance appointments, travel logistics, and broader personal and executive support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES HOUSEHOLD ORGANIZATION & SYSTEMS
Maintain a consistently organized, functional, and presentable household. Create and maintain practical organizational systems throughout the residence. Organize closets, cabinets, storage rooms, pantries, garages, household supplies, personal belongings, and other spaces. Ensure items are properly categorized, labeled, stored, and easily accessible. Regularly evaluate existing organization systems and improve them when necessary. Prevent clutter from accumulating and proactively identify areas requiring attention. Manage seasonal organization, storage rotation, donations, disposal, and consolidation of household items. Maintain organization standards throughout the residence rather than simply completing one-time organizing projects.
HOUSEHOLD INVENTORY & SUPPLIES
Monitor household inventory and ensure commonly used supplies remain appropriately stocked. Maintain organized inventory of toiletries, cleaning supplies, kitchen items, beverages, household essentials, and other frequently used products. Identify items that need to be replenished and coordinate purchasing needs with the PA/EA or purchase directly when appropriate. Receive, unpack, organize, and properly store household purchases and deliveries. Help maintain records or inventories for higher-value household and personal items when necessary.
KITCHEN & MEAL READINESS
Maintain an organized, clean, and properly stocked kitchen, pantry, refrigerator, and food-storage areas. Monitor household food, beverages, snacks, and frequently used kitchen supplies. Keep preferred household staples stocked and organized. Receive, unpack, and properly store groceries and food deliveries. Communicate grocery and household food needs to the PA/EA when purchasing or ordering assistance is required. Help ensure the kitchen is physically prepared for the principal and spouse's day-to-day meal needs. The House Manager is not expected to serve as a private chef unless separately agreed upon. Restaurant reservations, meal ordering, catering, and meal scheduling will generally be coordinated by the
PA/EA. DAILY HOUSEHOLD READINESS
Conduct regular walkthroughs of the residence to ensure spaces are organized, functional, stocked, clean, and ready for use. Identify household issues before they become larger problems. Ensure rooms and frequently used areas are properly reset after use. Prepare the residence for the principal's arrival, guests, meetings, dinners, or other activities as needed. Maintain a consistently high standard of presentation throughout the residence.
MAINTENANCE & PROPERTY AWARENESS
Proactively identify maintenance issues, damaged items, equipment problems, or areas requiring professional attention. Document and communicate maintenance needs to the PA/EA, including photos, measurements, or other relevant details when appropriate. Provide access to vendors or contractors when necessary and coordinate with the PA/EA regarding timing. Confirm that completed work has resolved the physical household issue and report any remaining concerns. Maintain awareness of the general condition of the residence and its contents. The House Manager is responsible for identifying and monitoring physical household needs. Scheduling vendors, obtaining quotes, coordinating maintenance appointments, and managing vendor communications will primarily be handled by the
PA/EA. DELIVERIES, PACKAGES & HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
Receive and properly process incoming packages and deliveries. Unpack, inspect, organize, distribute, or store items appropriately. Keep package and receiving areas organized. Handle returns, exchanges, donations, and outgoing household items when needed. Ensure purchases do not remain boxed or unorganized after arriving at the residence.
TRAVEL & PACKING SUPPORT
Travel preparation will be a collaborative responsibility between the House Manager and PA/EA. Work closely with the PA/EA to prepare for upcoming domestic and international travel. Assist with packing and unpacking clothing, personal belongings, toiletries, equipment, and other travel necessities. Maintain organized luggage, travel accessories, toiletries, packing supplies, and frequently used travel items. Ensure commonly needed travel items are stocked, organized, and ready for use. Prepare physical items needed for trips based on itineraries and information provided by the PA/EA. Reset, unpack, organize, and replenish travel-related items following trips. Communicate proactively regarding missing items, purchases, laundry/dry cleaning, or other needs prior to departure. The PA/EA will generally own travel scheduling, bookings, itineraries, transportation, and logistical arrangements, while the House Manager will focus more heavily on physical preparation, organization, and readiness.
ADDITIONAL PROPERTY SUPPORT
The principal also owns a neighboring property that will require periodic support at a smaller scale. Responsibilities at the neighboring property will be focused primarily on organization, household systems, and general readiness. Establish and maintain organization systems throughout designated areas of the neighboring property. Organize closets, cabinets, storage areas, household supplies, personal belongings, and other spaces as needed. Periodically inspect organizational systems and reset areas when necessary. Assist with receiving, unpacking, organizing, and storing items intended for the property. Identify organizational, supply, or household issues requiring attention and communicate them appropriately. Help ensure the property remains organized and ready for use. The primary residence will remain the main focus of this position. The neighboring property represents a smaller portion of the overall responsibilities.
HOUSEHOLD PROJECTS & GENERAL SUPPORT
Take ownership of household organization projects from beginning to completion. Research and recommend organizational solutions, storage products, shelving, containers, or systems when appropriate. Assist with moves, furniture changes, seasonal transitions, storage reorganizations, and other household projects. Run household-related errands when needed and assist with returns, pickups, drop-offs, or other household tasks. Coordinate effectively with the PA/EA and other household support personnel. Maintain strict discretion regarding the principal, spouse, residences, guests, personal belongings, and activities. Handle unexpected household needs calmly and professionally.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The strongest candidate will be: Extremely organized and naturally detail-oriented. Proactive rather than reactive. Comfortable working independently without constant supervision. Able to identify what needs to be done and take ownership of it. Comfortable managing a very large residence with numerous rooms, storage areas, belongings, and ongoing needs. Hands-on and willing to personally organize, move, unpack, sort, label, stock, and reset household items. Able to establish systems that other people can easily understand and maintain. Comfortable with changing priorities. Professional, discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of privacy. Able to distinguish between something they should handle personally and something that should be escalated or coordinated by the PA/EA. Someone who genuinely enjoys creating organization and maintaining order.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
3-5+ years of experience in household management, estate management, professional organization, luxury hospitality, executive household support, or a similar role preferred. Experience working in a large private residence strongly preferred. Professional organizing experience is highly desirable. Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, executives, entrepreneurs, celebrities, or private families is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable using basic technology, shared lists, calendars, messaging platforms, and organizational tools.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work on-site in Henderson, Nevada. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift and move household items as reasonably required by the position. Ability to spend significant portions of the workday walking throughout a large residence, organizing, unpacking, stocking, and completing household projects. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be willing to undergo a background check. Must maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this position means the residence is consistently organized, stocked, functional, and ready without the principal needing to personally manage those details. You should become the person who knows where things belong, what the household needs, what needs attention, and what needs to happen next. The goal is not simply to react to requests. The goal is to create and maintain an environment where the household operates smoothly because you are consistently several steps ahead.
