POSITION SUMMARY
The store General Manager (GM) is responsible for all facets of the operation. A high-level summary of duties includes ensuring smooth operational effectiveness of their store, guest service and satisfaction, leadership training, mentorship and development for all team members, conducting various operational administrative tasks, procurement of supplies, safety and overall sanitation, organization and cleanliness, managing brand standards, scheduling of staff, time & record keeping, and various other high level leadership responsibilities. The GM is the face and main representative of their store, serving as a good-will ambassador for each location. They ensure their teams provide excellent customer service, ensuring that the overall operation of the workplace runs smoothly. In their day-to-day work, they also assist customers and help restaurant staff with operations. They effectively communicate with both service and kitchen staff daily, and ensure they are synergistically aligned with the

of the store. All duties of the GM are performed in accordance with Poke Express policies, practices and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Behaves and acts as an owner of the business. Fosters and develops a management team that possesses and delivers key strategies of guest service, team member relations, team cooperation, financial responsibility and asset management. Creates a culture that exceeds guest experience and satisfaction. Creates a team of individuals with one common goal and understanding of how to deliver on the Poke Express guest experience. Responsible for the inventory and ordering of all supplies such as beverage & retail items, paper goods, food items and ingredients, as well as any operational store needs. Meets and exceeds financial objectives by managing labor, food cost, and overhead costs. Responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining strict standards for safety and sanitation. Keeps accurate inventory of supplies and products maintaining established par levels Responsible for implementation, production, productivity, quality, of customer service standards. Identifies and resolves any guest or employee related problems or issues. Conducts spot audits; evaluates and determines POS or system improvements; reports findings and works to implement positive change. Ensure store equipment is functional and operates properly; troubleshoots breakdowns; reports to maintenance teams for repair; ensures timely preventive maintenance is being conducted; calls for repairs when necessary. Responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing company policies and procedures. Maintains store atmosphere and ethos by arranging displays, encouraging staff comradery and guest engagement, appropriate designated background music, appropriate and approved signage, and any video displays. Well versed and trained with strong knowledge of our POS system and act as the point of contact for any technical support and/or maintenance necessary. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Manages controllable costs to meet and exceed monthly/annual goals and is responsible for the P&L results. Keeps a clear line of communication with Director of Operations, Senior Leadership, and managing partners. Completes a daily log summary for the business as defined by corporate. Maintains a store presence during operational hours, including guest interaction and filling in during peak times as necessary. Creates team member schedules, ensuring fairness and complete coverage to maximize the business during peak times while retracting labor during non-peak periods. Handles various assigned paperwork and other administrative duties Holds daily pre-shift meetings with staff and keeps staff informed (per shift) of any company updates and changes. Handles complaints, conflicts, questions, concerns, and suggestions from team members. Create ways to further enrich the guest experience by continuously reviewing, refining, and implementing procedures that offer outstanding guest experience while maintaining a culture of smiles and happiness within our team members. Proactively seek guest feedback when opportunities present themselves to ensure we are meeting and exceeding guest expectations. Manages any guest requests and owns all complaints; resolves issues immediately and follows up to ensure the guest's satisfaction. Make customers for life. Ensure all accounting matters and audits are handled swiftly, in compliance, and within company policy. Mentors staff and AGM. Identifies talent and promotes a culture of growth and path to opportunity for all employees interested in future growth within Poke Express. Works closely with marketing and social media team to provide cooperation, content, and oversight of web site, various online platforms, reviews, and social media. Functions as an owner of the business available 24/7 in case of an emergency. Perform other functions as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent A minimum of 3 years hospitality, retail, or food service management is required and preferred. Previous experience managing a staff of 10+ employees strongly preferred. Knowledge of Hawaiian culture and previous poke experience in a similar culinary environment preferred. Strong customer service skills and employee leadership skills required. Previous experience in a fast-paced casual food service and/or retail food service operations required. Familiarity with POS systems and high-level financial reporting preferred. Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, and outlook necessary. SERV Safe certification and/or relative related training associated with Food Safety, and HAACP systems Experience in overall food safety standards within SERVSAFE or HAACP food safety systems including knowledge of health inspections, audits, and sanitation standards in restaurants or retail foodservice operations. Knowledge of local food safety standards and health code required. Knowledge of the various types of food allergies. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
