Full-time Description:
The AGM, Lake Placid leads all taproom operations at the Lake Placid location, reporting to the General Manager, Taproom Operations. This role oversees the Guest Experience & Operations Manager, manages the full FOH team, and is accountable for revenue performance, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence at the Lake Placid taproom. As MCBC's newest location, this role requires a leader who is energized by building something new and who has the experience to do it right.
Requirements:
Leadership & Culture Lead and develop the full FOH team Set the culture and service standard from day one, establishing MCBC values in a new market Coach and develop team members at all levels with consistency, fairness, and urgency Serve as the senior MCBC leader on-site, representing the brand to guests, staff, and community partners Operations Oversee all FOH operations at the Lake Placid taproom, including floor service, bar, and guest flow Own opening and closing procedures, shift reporting, and daily operational execution Manage cash handling, daily reconciliations, and bank deposit preparation Ensure compliance with NYS liquor service laws, health regulations, and safety protocols Partner with the GM, Taproom Operations on SOPs, staffing strategy, and operational standards Lead pre-opening setup and team readiness in coordination with the GM, Taproom Operations and Director of Operations Partner with the Guest Experience & Operations Manager for accurate bar and merchandise inventory entry and maintenance in XtraChef Revenue & Financial Performance Drive taproom revenue at Lake Placid through service quality, upsell culture, and guest retention Track and report spend-per-guest, cover counts, and weekly revenue performance to the GM, Taproom Operations Identify opportunities to grow average check and merchandise sales Manage labor to budget in coordination with the GM, Taproom Operations Team Development & Scheduling Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of all FOH staff at Lake Placid Build and maintain a scheduling system that supports strong coverage and controlled labor costs Develop the Guest Experience & Operations Manager and future supervisors into strong floor leaders Identify individual and team training deficiencies across the FOH team, develop a plan to address them, and ensure execution Partner with the GM, Taproom Operations on performance management and disciplinary processes Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the Chef de Cuisine on FOH-BOH coordination and guest experience consistency Support event execution at Lake Placid in partnership with the Director of Events Provide the Marketing Manager with content opportunities and local community insights Collaborate with the Dir. Brewery Ops & Sales team on beer releases, tap list management, and product knowledge Qualifications 5+ years of FOH hospitality experience, with at least 2-3 years in a general manager or assistant general manager role Experience opening or building a new location strongly preferred Proven ability to build and develop a team from the ground up Strong floor presence and hands-on leadership style Experience managing labor budgets, scheduling, and cost controls Familiarity with POS systems and scheduling tools; Toast experience a plus NYS Alcohol Training Awareness Program (ATAP) certification or equivalent (or ability to obtain) Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays including peak tourist season Genuine passion for craft beer, hospitality, and the Lake Placid community
