Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager with minimum 3 years of food franchise experience to lead our retail operations with energy and precision.
Nassau county Food handlers license preferred In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store functions, drive sales growth, manage teams, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will inspire a motivated sales team while maintaining operational excellence across all facets of the business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the customer experience, optimize store performance, and foster a positive work environment that encourages development and success. Duties Lead and manage all store operations, including sales, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure smooth daily functioning. Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing retail team aligned with company standards. Oversee employee orientation programs, manage payroll processing, and handle bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records. Implement effective inventory management practices, including stock ordering, stock rotation, pricing strategies, and shrink reduction initiatives. Supervise shift management activities such as cashiering, POS system operation, cash handling procedures, and customer transactions to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Develop sales strategies to meet or exceed targets through retail math techniques like pricing adjustments and promotional planning. Foster a positive shopping environment by ensuring excellent customer service standards are upheld at all times. Manage operational aspects such as purchasing decisions, budgeting, and organizational planning to maximize profitability. Utilize strong communication skills for managerial meetings, staff training sessions, and conflict resolution to promote teamwork and clarity. Maintain compliance with safety regulations and store policies while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Experience Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and store operations management. Demonstrated ability in supervising staff through effective training & development programs and performance evaluations. Strong background in inventory management, POS systems operation, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases effectively. Experience in recruiting talent through interviewing processes and employee orientation initiatives. Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping practices, budgeting techniques, and operational management principles. Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in a retail setting is preferred to ensure seamless transition into store leadership roles. Exceptional organizational skills combined with effective communication abilities to lead teams confidently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
