Full-Time We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to join a high-end, fast-paced restaurant in New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a polished dining environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to oversee daily restaurant operations, develop and coach staff, maintain service standards, and help drive overall financial and operational performance. Responsibilities Assist with the overall management of daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and service execution. Lead, coach, and motivate managers and hourly team members to deliver exceptional hospitality. Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation. Support hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management. Monitor labor, sales, inventory, and operating costs while helping achieve financial goals. Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively. Partner with the culinary team to maintain consistency, quality, and efficient communication between the front and back of house. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational standards. Serve as a strong leadership presence during busy service periods and special events. Step in for the General Manager as needed and help ensure smooth operations across all shifts. Qualifications 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume, upscale, or fine-dining environment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proven ability to coach and develop a team while maintaining high service standards. Strong understanding of restaurant financials, labor management, and operational controls. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Excellent guest-service instincts and a genuine passion for hospitality. Kosher restaurant experience is helpful but not required. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods. Must be comfortable working a 5-day schedule .
