Cafeteria Manager Job Description Job Summary The Cafeteria Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cafeteria, ensuring a high standard of food quality and customer service. This role involves managing staff, coordinating food production, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patrons. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that all food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. Duties Supervise and train cafeteria staff in food preparation, service, and safety protocols. Manage daily operations, including inventory control, menu planning, and food production. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patron inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Collaborate with suppliers to maintain quality ingredients while managing costs effectively. Monitor food quality and presentation to meet established standards. Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafeteria environment. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Experience in supervising staff and managing a team effectively. Knowledge of food production processes and restaurant operations. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
