Job Description
Mayfield Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation is a 150-bed facility providing long-term care, skilled rehabilitation, intensive outpatient care, and memory care. We are seeking a full-time experienced Dietary Manager to join our team. As the Dietary Services Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the culinary services team, ensuring high-quality service in accordance with federal/state regulations. The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and customer expectations are met, while providing professional culinary services and excellent care to residents. While focusing on delivering quality service, the position is also responsible for managing the resources within their control and assisting others in managing resources. Desired qualifications include being ServSafe certified and a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM).
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and direct the team functions of the culinary services team in accordance with established policies and procedures Orient new staff and participate in recruitment and selection of dietary staff Ensure sufficient staffing levels to deliver quality resident care Develop and communicate shift assignments for culinary staff and monitor job performance Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the operational aspects of culinary department Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus to ensure compliance with physicians' orders Regularly inspect meals being served to assure standards for appearance, palatability, temperature and serving times are met Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly, with strict adherence to procedures regarding cleaners or hazardous materials or objects Manage the resources available in the role of Dietary Services Manager while ensuring that needed resources are available and that quality care is delivered to all residents Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards Participate in and provide scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain licensure of self and certification of team and enhance quality of care Must be willing to be the "Bridge" cook/aide to cover open shiftsQualifications and Requirements:
ServSafe certification required. Prior food service experience in a health care environment preferred Two years management experience preferred Prior experience utilizing computers, preferably for Nutritional Care software applications We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and promote a drug-free workplace.
