Newark, OH Salary:
Starting at $45,000 per year (based on experience) with performance-based raises and bonus opportunities. About Us Naughty Pine Pizza Bar & Grill is a fast-paced, locally owned restaurant committed to great food, outstanding hospitality, and building a team that enjoys coming to work. We're looking for a hands-on General Manager who leads by example, develops people, and helps us continue growing. This position works directly with ownership. While the owners remain actively involved in the business, the General Manager is responsible for leading daily operations, developing managers and staff, maintaining high standards, and ensuring every guest has a great experience. Responsibilities Leadership- Lead, coach, and develop management and hourly staff.
- Hire, onboard, train, discipline, and terminate employees when necessary.
- Foster a positive, accountable, solution-focused workplace culture.
- Hold managers and team members accountable to company standards.
- Lead by example and jump in wherever needed. Operations
- Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure food quality, cleanliness, safety, and service standards are consistently met.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain compliance with health department and food safety regulations. Financial & Administrative
- Build and manage employee schedules to meet labor goals.
- Assist with food cost, labor cost, and inventory control.
- Place vendor orders and maintain inventory levels.
- Review sales reports and operational metrics with ownership.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. Team Development
- Coach employees through performance issues.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
- Create an environment focused on continuous improvement rather than blame.
- Build a strong leadership team capable of operating successfully during busy periods. Qualifications
- Restaurant management experience required.
- Leadership experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with scheduling and restaurant POS systems (Toast experience is a plus).
- ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Reliable, organized, and able to make sound decisions under pressure. Schedule
