We're part of a Tokyo-based restaurant group bringing authentic Japanese cuisine and vibrant izakaya culture to Portland. Our restaurant combines classic Japanese culinary offerings with a distinctive cool atmosphere in reclaimed warehouse space, creating a memorable experience for every guest.Your Role:
As General Manager, you'll primarily oversee our front-of-house operations while maintaining final oversight of the entire location.Your responsibilities will include:
Managing FOH staff, scheduling, and training to ensure outstanding guest serviceMaintaining operational standards across all departmentsBuilding and sustaining a positive team cultureMonitoring financial performance and controlling costsEnsuring compliance with health, safety, and company standardsCollaborating with culinary and back-of-house leadershipCreating memorable guest experiences that drive loyalty and positive reviewsUpholding all company policies, procedures and standards.What We're Looking For:
You have proven general management experience in a full-service restaurant environment, ideally with Japanese cuisine or casually elevated dining.
