Head Chef / Culinary Director The Fountains & Gardens at Latrobe - Latrobe, PA Full-Time (40 hours per week) We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Culinary Manager / Head Chef to lead our culinary team with enthusiasm and expertise. This role is perfect for a motivated culinary professional eager to craft exceptional dining experiences, oversee kitchen operations, and provide fantastic food and service to our residents. As the driving force behind our food offerings, you will ensure the highest standards of food quality, ordering fresh supplies, and elevate our culinary standards to delight our guests with innovative menus and impeccable service. Responsibilities Prepare three meals per day for residents of the Fountains and the Gardens, with a dedicated kitchen for each part of the facility. Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures. Develop, plan, and execute diverse menus that reflect dining standards and cater to various dietary needs of residents. Responsible for food production, preparation, and presentation to ensure consistency, quality, and visual appeal. Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize cost control. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement and professional growth. Maintain compliance with all health regulations, safety standards, and sanitation protocols across the culinary department. Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining high service standards.
Qualifications:
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments. Proven supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in fast-paced settings. Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, serving techniques, and kitchen management. Ability to manage inventory control efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
