Job Description

STARR Restaurants is seeking a General Manager to lead The Pelican Club , Stephen Starr's highly anticipated new Greek restaurant coming to Philadelphia's iconic Rittenhouse Square. Inspired by the glamour and energy of the Greek islands during the jet-set Onassis era, The Pelican Club will pair authentic Greek cooking and Mediterranean flavors with the transportive design, lively atmosphere, and exceptional hospitality synonymous with STARR Restaurants. Set in a nearly 9,000-square-foot space overlooking Rittenhouse Square, and designed by Ken Fulk, The Pelican Club will join some of Philadelphia's most celebrated restaurants in one of the city's premier dining destinations. We're looking for an experienced, dynamic General Manager to build the team, shape the culture, and lead the restaurant from pre-opening through launch and beyond.
Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of 6 years of progressive management experience in well-rated restaurants Experience hiring, training, and mentoring a diverse team and large team of salaried managers and hourly staff Strong financial acumen with the proven ability to oversee cost control, labor, management, and bottom-line profitability A positive and self-motivated disposition with a commitment to excellence and team success This position offers a comprehensive package including: A competitive base salary Quarterly bonus program Referral bonus programs Paid vacation and sick time Medical, dental, and vision benefits coverage The Pelican Club is an equal opportunity employer.
