We're conducting a confidential search for an experienced General Manager to lead front-of-house operations for an established Philadelphia restaurant with approximately $3M-$6M in annual sales, a $200 average guest check, and a team of approximately 15-20 employees. This is a hands-on GM position for someone who understands refined service at a high level. You'll have responsibility for the guest experience, team development, service standards, labor, scheduling, inventory, P&L performance, and the day-to-day execution of the restaurant. The General Manager sets the standard for front-of-house hospitality and makes sure that standard carries through every service. You'll be visible on the floor, closely connected to guests and employees, and responsible for developing a team capable of delivering polished, consistent hospitality. At the same time, you'll own the operational side of the business, including labor, payroll, scheduling, ordering, receiving, inventory, food safety, and P&L performance. We are looking for someone who can: Read the dining room and anticipate what guests and employees need Lead calmly and confidently during demanding service periods Set and reinforce polished fine-dining service standards Coach employees on technical service and genuine hospitality Develop and motivate a high-performing front-of-house team Recognize small inconsistencies before they affect the guest experience Maintain standards without losing warmth or personality Hold employees accountable in a professional and respectful way Balance an exacting guest experience with sound financial management Work closely and effectively with culinary management About the Restaurant This is a confidential search for an established Philadelphia fine-dining restaurant operating at a high level of service. The restaurant generates approximately $3M-$6M in annual sales with an average guest check of approximately $200. The General Manager will oversee approximately 15-20 employees. What We're Looking For This isn't an entry point into fine dining. We're looking for someone who already understands the standards, pace, discipline, and attention to detail required in a demanding front-of-house environment. Strong candidates may currently be working as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior Restaurant Manager and be ready for greater responsibility. 5+ years of restaurant management experience preferred Strong front-of-house fine-dining experience Previous front-of-house experience in a Michelin-starred, Michelin-aspiring, or similarly demanding fine-dining restaurant strongly preferred General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior Restaurant Manager experience preferred Strong understanding of refined restaurant service and hospitality Meticulous attention to detail Strong employee training, coaching, and development skills P&L management experience Experience with scheduling, payroll, labor management, ordering, receiving, and inventory Strong food safety knowledge Excellent organizational and communication skills Professional and composed management style Ability to maintain standards during demanding service periods Ability to collaborate effectively with culinary management Ability to reach, bend, stoop, remain standing for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds English proficiency required Responsibilities Lead daily front-of-house restaurant operations Maintain consistently high standards of service and hospitality Manage, coach, and develop approximately 15-20 employees Maintain a visible management presence during service Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing service training Recruit, train, motivate, and retain front-of-house employees Create and manage employee schedules Manage labor and payroll within established targets Monitor the guest experience and resolve service issues appropriately Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory procedures Monitor operating costs and financial performance Manage restaurant P&L performance Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Ensure opening, closing, and daily operating procedures are followed Partner closely with culinary management Maintain strong communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams Continually reinforce and refine restaurant service standards Restaurant Systems Toast POS How to Apply Please submit your resume with full contact information and two professional references from previous supervisors.
