A Restaurant or Food Service Manager oversees daily operations at a restaurant or an institution that serves meals such as a college or hospital. Hires, trains and supervises food service workers, manages meal and work schedules, supervises supply orders, food preparation and the quality of food and service, and monitors compliance with health regulations.
SRS is seeking to fill a full-time Bakery Manager store position in our ShopRite of West Chester location.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and motivating bakery staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
Operational Excellence:
Ensuring efficient daily operations, including food preparation, product presentation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization
Inventory and Financial Management:
Managing inventory levels, placing orders, controlling costs (including labor and waste), analyzing sales data, and contributing to the department's profitability.
Quality and Safety Assurance:
Ensuring all food is prepared and maintained safely, adheres to recipes and quality standards, and complies with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Customer Service:
Fostering a customer-focused environment, addressing customer inquiries and complaints, and striving to enhance customer satisfaction.
Merchandising and Sales:
Implementing company sales programs to promote bakery products, drive sales, and attract customers.
Compliance and Professional Conduct:
Adhere to all company policies and local, state, and federal health regulations; follow management instructions; provide constructive feedback; complete all required training (including on company technologies, equipment, Food Safety, Power Equipment, and CPR); and operate powered equipment only if properly trained or certified. Performing all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Experience & Skills:
Preferably experienced in Bakery. Must demonstrate basic math and English proficiency, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with management.
Leadership:
Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a team. Skilled in inventory control, quality assurance, merchandising, and enhancing customer experience in a retail setting.
Financial Acumen:
Understand sales targets, manage labor and expenses, and contribute to departmental financial success .
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, crouch, regularly lift 25 lbs. (up to 50 lbs. occasionally), perform duties that require significant walking, pushing, and pulling of equipment, and work in varying temperature conditions. ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc.
