Job Purpose and Impact The Account Manager will participate in face-to-face and remote selling to the company's new and existing customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions. Key Accountabilities Execute sales transactions through the portfolio pipeline process while selling solutions to help customers grow to scale with Cargill while negotiating contracts. Development and delivery of sales proposals and conducting detailed presentations for effective product demonstration. Build a business plan for accounts developing strong customer relationships. Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve. Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information to senior staff. Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum two years of sales experience, preferably in food ingredients or a related industry Strong presentation skills and confidence engaging directly with customers Able and willing to travel at least 20% Preferred Qualifications Sales experience working with food manufacturing businesses. Experience in understanding customer needs, articulating customer objectives, and adding value to partnerships, demonstrated negotiation and value-based / consultative sales skills. Experience with Salesforce, risk management tools or customer relationship management software.
