BAR CATERING SALES & OPERATIONS
MANAGERSales Business Development Bar Operations Hospitality The Bar Caterer is looking for an energetic, experienced hospitality professional who understands both sides of the business: how to run a great bar operation and how to sell one. This is not a traditional bartending or bar manager position. This is an opportunity for someone who knows the bar and beverage business and has the personality, confidence, and sales ability to go out into the marketplace, develop relationships, win new accounts, and help grow a successful bar catering company. The ideal candidate is someone who has real-world bartending and bar management experience , but is ready to take the next step in their career and become a significant part of the growth of the company.
THE TWO PRIMARY OBJECTIVES1. GROW THE BUSINESS
Your primary objective will be to generate new revenue and increase market share for The Bar Caterer. You will actively develop new business through:
  • Cold calling and warm lead follow-up
  • Venue and event planner relationships
  • Wedding and special event venues
  • Caterers and event professionals
  • Corporate accounts
  • Festivals, concerts, trade shows and large-scale events
  • Hotels, restaurants and hospitality partners
  • Preferred vendor relationships
  • Social and professional networking
  • Existing customer and industry referrals
  • CRM lead generation and follow-up
  • Developing repeat and recurring business
  • Identifying new markets and revenue opportunities You will be expected to create opportunities rather than simply wait for leads to come in.
We are looking for someone who enjoys the hunt, likes meeting people, is comfortable asking for the business, and is motivated by results. 2.
SUPPORT AND DEVELOP BAR OPERATIONS
Your second major responsibility will be helping ensure that our bar catering operations continue to operate at a high level. You will use your hands-on bar experience to assist with:
  • Staffing and scheduling bartenders
  • Event preparation and execution
  • Bartender training and development
  • Maintaining service standards
  • RBS compliance and responsible alcohol service
  • Beverage menu development
  • Product and inventory management
  • Event accounting and reconciliation
  • Equipment and bar setup
  • Managing bar teams in the field
  • Assisting with recruiting and hiring
  • Maintaining relationships with venues, clients and event partners
  • Troubleshooting operational issues
  • Supporting the team during larger or more complex events You don't have to be behind the bar every day—but you need to know how to run the bar when necessary.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
This position is ultimately about growth. We want someone who can help us: Generate Leads → Build Relationships → Close Business → Execute Events → Create Repeat Business → Grow Revenue You will have the support of an established hospitality company, but we are looking for someone who will take ownership of the sales effort and help build the next phase of The Bar Caterer's growth.
