Schedule:
2 days per week, ideally Monday and Thursday or Friday . The family is flexible on which two days are worked.
Compensation:
$28

Paid Time Off (PTO) offered A warm, welcoming family in Oak Park is seeking a dependable, proactive Part-Time House Manager to help keep their household running smoothly. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of household responsibilities, is highly organized, and can work independently with minimal direction. The family has one child; however, no regular childcare is required as part of this position. For candidates who are interested, there may be occasional babysitting opportunities. The family also has a friendly large dog. Daily responsibilities are limited to letting the dog outside as needed. Candidates who enjoy dogs may have the opportunity to take on additional light pet care if interested, though it is not required. Employers work from home on some days during the week, so the ideal candidate will be professional, respectful of the family's workspace. Responsibilities Laundry, including washing, drying, folding, putting away clothing, and occasional ironing General household tidying, including toys, dishes, and maintaining organized living spaces Meal preparation, including preparing and packaging breakfasts and lunches, as well as assisting with dinner prep (washing and chopping vegetables, preparing proteins, making sauces, etc.) Maintain a well-stocked refrigerator and pantry Grocery pickup and household errands Returns, post office runs, and other household errands as needed Coordinate and be present for vendors, service providers, and home maintenance appointments Perform recurring seasonal household tasks, including: Cleaning and maintaining major appliances Running appliance cleaning cycles Seasonal clothing organization and rotation Replacing household filters Qualifications Previous house management, household assistant, or similar experience preferred Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of projects with limited guidance Punctual, dependable, and kind Strong communication skills and a proactive approach Comfortable working in a home where employers occasionally work remotely This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional House Manager who enjoys creating organized, efficient households and becoming a trusted extension of the family.
