Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations with enthusiasm and expertise. This would be a role that would oversee 3 busy downtown Newport locations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily bar activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold food safety standards, and manage all aspects of bar and beverage service to deliver memorable experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about hospitality, team management, and the vibrant food and beverage industry. Duties Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food handling. Lead, train, and develop bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold company policies. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food production and beverage management. Oversee POS systems such, specifically TOAST and Extra Chef to process transactions accurately and efficiently while handling cash with precision. Enforce food safety protocols, including proper food handling and sanitation practices aligned with health regulations. Analyze profit and loss reports to optimize sales performance, control costs, and implement budgeting strategies. Bar Menu production, creativity and training on a seasonal basis Experience Proven management experience in a food service or hospitality environment with a focus on bar operations. Demonstrated success in supervising teams, conducting training & development programs, and leading hospitality teams effectively. Experience managing inventory control, food safety standards, and profit & loss analysis in a restaurant or bar setting. Strong leadership skills complemented by excellent communication abilities for managerial tasks like interviewing and team training. Must be able to separate yourself from the bar staff and lead as a manager and not a friend/coworker.
Pay:
