Job Description

Restaurant Manager Department:

General Manager Summary:

Oversee daily dining room operations and the guest experience at the restaurant. Lead Costa

• front-of-house staff to drive operational excellence and warmth of hospitality. Act as a liaison between the kitchen, service staff, and guests to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently. Drive revenue in the restaurant and execute restaurant programming and special events. Work collaboratively and in conjunction with other teammates across the property.

Role:

This position is an exempt full-time position within our company.

Essential Functions:

Daily/Weekly Operations - administrative duties In conjunction with the Maître d' and General Manager, respond to email and voicemail communications and inquiries. Participate in weekly Ops and solutions meetings. Respond to customer reviews on Resy, Google, Yelp, and TripAdvisor Set Pre-Shift and Post-Shift checklists and ensure critical information is communicated to staff clearly and in a timely fashion. Practice and observe all safety procedures and protocols, setting standards for staff. Inventory Support monthly BWL (beer, wine, liquor) inventories and meet par values. Work closely with bar and wine leads to ensure thoughtful and exciting beverage offerings. Support quarterly Big-4 inventories and ensure par values are met. Support ordering of restaurant and bar supplies. Staffing - for all front-of-house service positions Work with the General Manager to create and post job openings, specifying roles and responsibilities, required skills, etc. In conjunction with the General Manager, interview candidates and select the best candidates for available positions. Ensure new hire onboarding procedures are followed, collecting and maintaining all required documentation and files. Schedule staff adhering to the needs and demands of the restaurant, flagging and controlling overtime when necessary. Monitor time clocks in Toast daily, ensuring all clock-in/outs are correct and the correct job codes are used. Correct any missed clock-outs. Maintain staffing levels required for all shifts and seasons. Training & Development - including fine dining tableside service, wine service, and food knowledge Keep current staff updated on any menu changes, specials, and upselling opportunities. Ensure staff is appropriately third-party certified for Alcohol training in accordance with SC laws, ie. ServSafe. Ensure staff members are thoughtfully and comprehensively trained in service standards. Work collaboratively with teams to foster an environment of learning and continual education Drive employee engagement by holding staff accountable to their role and responsibilities while guiding their growth and development Operations Support the floor during service, working with staff to address any customer concerns as they arise and exceed customer expectations. • leadership to set standards for operations and smooth, hospitable service. Lead the front of house team with a positive attitude, focused on teamwork and collaboration Work to drive restaurant operational excellence and maturity, with a focus on operational systems, employee engagement, accountability, and financial targets Hold pre-shift team meetings to communicate any special reservations, menu changes, or other operational points so all team members are aware. Hold post-shift meetings to assess any concerns that may arise during service.

From $70,000.00 per year
