This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and takes pride in running a tight, profitable operation while building a great place to work. About the Role As General Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, strong financial performance, and a well-trained, motivated team. You'll report directly to ownership and have full accountability for the day-to-day success of the restaurant. Responsibilities Oversee all daily operations, including front-of-house service, kitchen coordination, bar operations, and facility management. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop staff across all positions; build a strong management bench. Manage labor costs, food and beverage costs, and overall P&L performance against budget. Set and uphold service, cleanliness, and safety standards; ensure compliance with health department and alcohol service regulations. Handle guest relations, including resolving complaints and ensuring repeat business. Manage vendor relationships, ordering, and inventory control. Implement and enforce SOPs for consistency across shifts. Plan and execute staffing and operations for peak seasonal tourist demand. Conduct regular staff meetings, performance reviews, and coaching. Maintain POS systems, reporting, and administrative recordkeeping. Collaborate with ownership on marketing initiatives, menu updates, and special events. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a full-service restaurant. Proven track record managing P&L, labor, and food cost controls. Strong leadership and team-building skills with hands-on floor presence. Working knowledge of South Carolina alcohol service regulations (or ability to obtain required certifications). ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within [30/60] days of hire). Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic reporting/analytics. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including peak beach-season demand. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under pressure.
