Job Description

Safelite is hiring an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee to learn professional vehicle glass repair, replacement, and calibration support in the Transportation & Warehousing industry. In this hands-on, field-based role, you'll assist experienced technicians with safely removing and installing windshields and other auto glass, preparing vehicles, and supporting advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) calibrations. You'll deliver friendly, caring customer service at shops and mobile locations while following strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Assist with removing, replacing, and repairing auto glass under supervision Prepare vehicles and work areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety compliance Use tools and materials to install windshields and other vehicle glass components Support glass calibration procedures for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) Follow work orders, documentation, and quality standards accurately Provide friendly, professional customer service on-site and in the field Adhere to all safety, vehicle handling, and PPE requirements Participate in paid training, coaching, and skills development programs Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good condition Work collaboratively with teammates to meet productivity and service goals Required Skills Auto glass installation Basic automotive repair Use of hand and power tools ADAS calibration support Vehicle inspection Workplace safety/PPE compliance Customer service Work order and documentation handling Time management Basic computer/mobile app use
