Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, bilingual ( English/Spanish required ) Nightclub General Manager to lead the launch and overall daily operations of a premier nightlife venue in the Columbia area. In this role, you will take complete operational ownership of the nightclub—from hiring the entire team and directing bar/VIP bottle service, to coordinating safety, compliance, and marketing. While an on-site kitchen space exists and will be subleased/operated independently by a third-party restaurant tenant, your focus is 100% on running and growing the nightclub business, while serving as the primary liaison for overall facility coordination. Our venue will host a dynamic calendar featuring Latin nights, mainstream American nightlife events, and special weekend parties; therefore, full professional fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Key Responsibilities Complete Nightclub Oversight:
Direct all club operations, opening/closing procedures, and floor management during peak nightlife hours.Staffing & Team Building:
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and lead bartenders, barbacks, VIP bottle service, security/door staff, and floor support.Beverage & Inventory Management:
Manage liquor ordering, cost controls, supplier relationships, inventory audits, and waste reduction.Event & Nightlife Coordination:
Partner with promoters, resident/guest DJs, and marketing teams to produce high-energy nights, crossover events, and mainstream nightlife entertainment.Compliance & Safety:
Enforce South Carolina liquor laws (ABC regulations), strict ID verification (21+), local fire codes, and venue security protocols.Facility & Tenant Liaison:
Coordinate facility logistics with the on-site subtenant restaurant operator to ensure seamless venue co-existence and late-night food access for club guests.Financial Reporting:
Monitor daily revenue, cash management, labor targets, and provide operational performance updates to ownership.Qualifications & Requirements Bilingual Requirement:
100% fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) — required. 3+ years of General Manager or senior leadership experience in high-volume nightclubs, late-night lounges, or entertainment venues. Strong track record in nightlife staff leadership and beverage inventory management. Solid understanding of South Carolina ABC laws, alcohol compliance, and venue safety standards. Must be 21+ years of age. Full availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:
