We specialize in made from scratch baking, including our world-famous Thumbprint Cookies, custom decorated birthday cakes, wedding cakes, donuts, pastries, and more. We are a small, independent bakery with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction. Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, presentable, and experienced Bakery Manager to lead our team. This hands on role is perfect for a passionate baker who excels in scratch production and thrives in a small business environment. You will oversee daily operations, support our long-standing recipes and standards, and help drive continued success. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and manage all bakery operations in a scratch production environment. Demonstrated baking expertise, serving as a reliable backup to the main baker. Fully capable of stepping in to handle all baking and frying responsibilities when required to ensure operational continuity. Oversee daily production of breads, pastries, cakes, donuts, cookies, and specialty items. Hire, train, schedule, and lead bakery staff and maintain a positive team environment and integrate seamlessly as a team player. Maintain the highest standards for quality, consistency, freshness, product rotation, and food safety/sanitation. • Manage inventory, suppliers, ordering, pricing, costs, and waste reduction to protect profitability. Handle online orders efficiently to ensure quick turnaround and shipping times. Maintain recipes, inventory records, and production documentation. Ice and decorate cakes, including custom birthday and wedding cakes. Drive retail sales, deliver excellent customer service, and manage special orders and events. Solve problems quickly as they arise and support overall bakery performance. Work early morning hours as needed to support fresh daily production. Requirements 2-5+ years of bakery management or lead baker experience in a scratch/professional baking environment (preferred). Hands on experience with cake decorating, especially wedding cakes. Strong leadership, team building, and customer service skills. Retail experience and basic math/POS system proficiency. Ability to lift over 50 lbs Passion for baking, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. Reliable, enthusiastic, presentable, and able to work flexible early-morning hours.
