Job Description

Omni Nashville Hotel The Omni Nashville Hotel was specially created to be an authentic expression of Nashville's vibrant music culture. Across from the Music City Center, the luxury hotel is a one-of-a-kind experience, fully integrated with an expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on four levels. Located on Fifth Avenue between Demonbreun and Korean Veterans Blvd. The Omni Nashville Hotel design is a modern expression of the city's distinct character, incorporating natural materials, exposed steel and regional limestone. The multi-story hotel and expanded museum shares meeting and entertainment space and brings additional restaurants and retail venues to this dynamic destination in downtown Nashville. Ensure proper training and supervision of all personnel, to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures. As well handle incoming reservation and private events for Bobs Steak & Chop house. Responsibilities To follow, enforce, comply and adhere to all Bob's Steak & Chop House rules, policies, procedures, standards and recipes at all times. Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management. Supervise and coordinate assigned shift. Assist in overall supervision of the department as outlined in manager's job description. Check staff punctuality. Complete environmental checklist for dining room (Ensure music levels and lighting at proper levels.) Spot check liquor pars. Order daily supplies. Hold pre-meal meetings. Follow up on established training steps. Handle guest comments and complaints. Ensure guest satisfaction. Stay on the floor during peak hours. Communicate with guests and receive feedback. Observe, teach, and correct staff's service. Monitor each guest experience. Examine food preparation. Examine beverage presentation. Administrative responsibilities.
Assist manager in:
o Scheduling o Forecast weekly o Forecast monthly o Completing weekly payroll Participate in interviewing new employees. Prepare maintenance requests and follow-up. Cost control Monitor food and liquor requisitions Monitor food waste. Monitor labor and payroll costs. Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, bottles totally empty. Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws: Dram Shop Act - Prohibiting the sale/service of alcohol to intoxicated guests. Prohibiting the sale/service of alcohol to minors. Must know emergency procedures (including CPR) and work to prevent accidents.
Sales Manager Functions:
Answer incoming phone calls throughout the day for reservations and private events Correctly enter reservation information into event management system Open Table and Triple Seat Book private events, coordinate details such as date, time guest count and special requests Track events and large parties for proper staffing and rotation Create special event menus, tailored to dietary restrictions and coordinate with the Executive Chef Maintain accurate records, contracts, deposits and billing Attend mandatory meetings with hotel sales team and other departments to promote and coordinate private dining events Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by providing attentive follow-up before, during and after the events Uphold Bobs Steak and Chop House brand standards and commitment to exceptional hospitality Promote private event opportunities within the community via social media and grass roots marketing strategies Qualifications Candidate is required to have at least 1 year restaurant management experience. Upscale steak house management experience is strongly preferred however other fine dining and/or hotel food & beverage leadership experience will be considered. Strong Communication skills with both the internal and external guests Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor Flexible weekly schedule based on business volumes Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to train, develop, and motivate staff. Ability to teach employees importance of, and how to interact with internal/external guests and courteously solve internal requests. Ability to train a staff to produce high volumes of work while maintaining quality per Omni and Bob's standards. Ability to set priorities for the Bob's team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance. Prior experience managing schedules, payroll, service recovery and associate relations matters required. Previous cash handling experience required. Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone. Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and work in fast paced environment. Must be proficient with computers. Possess an unexpired State of Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Server Permit or have the ability to obtain one before date of hire. Must possess or be able to obtain a Serve Safe certified food manager certification Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. Move, bend, push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be able to lift, carry and place items up to 40 lbs without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including frequent bending, twisting and extending arms overhead.
