Assistant Manager - Office, Horsebarn, Zipline & Aviary Job description: Assistant Manager - Full-Time | On-Site Overview Do you enjoy working with people, animals, and outdoor adventure? Are you organized, dependable, and comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and team-oriented Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations across our Office, Horsebarn, Zipline, and Aviary areas. The Assistant Manager will support the management team in providing exceptional guest experiences, maintaining safe and efficient operations, supervising employees, and ensuring each department meets company standards. This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership, excellent communication, flexibility, and a willingness to assist wherever needed. Responsibilities General Assistant Manager Responsibilities Assist management with daily operations across the Office, Horsebarn, Zipline, and Aviary departments Lead, train, coach, and support employees to ensure excellent guest service and safe operations Help create and maintain employee schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies and procedures Open and close departments and facilities as assigned Assist with resolving guest concerns and employee issues in a professional and positive manner Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and professional environment Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas Ensure all safety procedures and company standards are consistently followed Assist with emergency situations and follow established emergency procedures Communicate effectively with management and employees regarding daily operations, staffing, maintenance, and guest needs Help track supplies, equipment, inventory, and department needs Assist with training new employees and ensuring required training is completed Provide hands-on support in any department when staffing or operational needs require it Maintain a positive, professional, and energetic attitude while representing the company Perform other duties as assigned by management Office Responsibilities Assist with daily front-office and guest-services operations Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests in person, by phone, and through other communication channels Assist with reservations, ticketing, check-in, payments, and general guest inquiries Help answer questions about attractions, activities, schedules, policies, and the property Assist with cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and daily financial procedures Help maintain accurate records, paperwork, and office organization Address guest concerns and work toward positive resolutions Support the office team during busy periods and special events Horsebarn Responsibilities Assist with daily horsebarn operations and guest activities Help ensure horses are properly cared for and facilities are clean, safe, and organized Support employees with guest interactions involving horses and horseback activities Ensure guests receive appropriate safety instructions before participating in horse-related activities Monitor guests and employees to ensure established safety procedures are followed Assist with feeding, watering, grooming, cleaning, and other routine barn duties as assigned Monitor horses for changes in behavior or condition and promptly communicate concerns to management Assist with maintaining tack, equipment, stalls, and other horse-related supplies Help ensure horses are handled safely and appropriately at all times Zipline Responsibilities Assist with overseeing daily zipline operations and supporting Zipline Guides Ensure guests receive thorough safety briefings and appropriate safety equipment Monitor employees and guests to ensure all zipline safety procedures are followed Assist with inspections of harnesses, helmets, trolleys, platforms, lines, and other equipment Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized zipline course and staging areas Assist with training and coaching zipline staff according to company procedures Respond calmly and professionally to guest concerns and unexpected situations Ensure emergency and evacuation procedures are understood and followed Step in to assist with zipline operations when needed Aviary Responsibilities Assist with daily aviary operations and guest experiences Help ensure birds and other aviary animals receive appropriate care, food, water, and attention Monitor animal areas for cleanliness, safety, and proper conditions Assist employees with guest interactions and educational experiences Help ensure guests follow all animal-interaction and aviary safety procedures Monitor animal behavior and promptly report health, safety, or behavioral concerns to management Assist with cleaning enclosures, maintaining habitats, and organizing animal-care supplies Help ensure the aviary remains clean, safe, engaging, and welcoming for guests Support staff in providing educational information about the animals and property Qualifications Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive and professional attitude Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Ability to work around horses, birds, and other animals Comfortable working at heights and performing physically active tasks Ability to lift, carry, and handle equipment and supplies as required Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or unexpected situations Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, animal care, equestrian operations, ziplining, outdoor recreation, or guest services is preferred Must be willing
