Full-time, salaried Roots Chicken Shak Addison is seeking a high-potential Assistant Manager who is looking for a real growth opportunity—not just another restaurant job. This is a hands-on leadership position supporting daily operations and helping lead our Shift Leads, Kitchen Lead, and entire restaurant team. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to maintain our high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, hospitality, and execution. You'll work closely with the General Manager and receive hands-on support as you grow into the role. Responsibilities Support daily restaurant operations. Lead shifts and ensure smooth, efficient execution. Lead and support Shift Leads, the Kitchen Lead, and all restaurant employees. Provide regular coaching, feedback, and direction to staff. Ensure very high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, hospitality, and operations are consistently maintained. Train, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and team communication. Monitor inventory and assist with receiving and organizing deliveries. Pick up inventory and supplies when needed - fuel reimbursed. Complete occasional catering deliveries. Help cover shifts when necessary. Assist with food cost, cash controls, labor, and operational efficiency. Help drive sales and profitability. Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly. Reinforce food-safety, sanitation, and company procedures. Communicate operational needs and team concerns to the General Manager. Help create a positive, respectful, and high-performing team environment. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of verifiable restaurant leadership experience required. Must have a reliable vehicle, as inventory pickups, occasional catering deliveries, and the ability to cover shifts are required. Must be able to provide regular coaching to staff and ensure very high standards are maintained. Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Dependable, accountable, and willing to take ownership. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Food-handler or food-safety certification is a plus. $35,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
