Job Description

We are looking for a creative-minded, detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our pizza kitchen. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, managing kitchen staff, controlling inventory, and ensuring a consistent, efficient line. Our ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a passion for making pizza.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
effective communication, hiring, training, scheduling and mentoring a talented BOH team
Quality & Consistency:
overseeing the prep and production of dough, sauces, and ingredients to maintain high quality standards
Inventory & Food Cost:
ordering product through an online vendor system, conducting weekly inventory counts, minimizing spoilage and waste, managing the budget to meet targetsLine management: leading the line to perform efficiently and consistently in peak hours, ensuring orders are filled accurately and product is delivered up to standard
Safety & Sanitation:
enforcing strict health, safety, and sanitation standards across all food, prep, storage, and dishwashing stations; maintaining all equipment, including specialized pizza ovens and dough mixers
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
2+ years in a Kitchen Management, Sous Chef, or Lead Line cook role in a high-volume restaurant (pizza or scratch kitchen experience highly preferred, but not required)
Skills:
strong inventory management, prep and production management, creativity, and effective communication within a small team
Leadership:
proven ability to manage labor costs, create efficient schedules, and foster a positive working environment
