Assistant General Manager - Job Description Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic hotel team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the overall management and daily operations of the hotel. This position requires strong managerial communication skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to oversee various departments to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to uphold the hotel's standards, implement policies, and lead staff to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all departments. Support the General Manager in implementing strategic plans and operational policies. Supervise hotel staff, including department managers and team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork. Communicate effectively with team members, guests, and stakeholders to address concerns, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service. Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and expense control, in collaboration with the management team. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. Assist in marketing initiatives and promotional activities to enhance the hotel's visibility and reputation. Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly to ensure a positive experience. Requirements Proven managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively. Previous management or supervisory experience within the hospitality industry is essential. Strong leadership qualities with excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with guests, staff, and stakeholders. Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, food & beverage services, and maintenance is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. A relevant degree or certification in hospitality management or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
