Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and service. You will lead by example, supervising kitchen staff, managing food production, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety. Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations across all kitchen areas. Lead and motivate kitchen staff by providing guidance on food handling, culinary techniques, and teamwork. Oversee shift management duties such as scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and maintain menu accuracy. Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and aligned with customer preferences. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. Support catering events and banquet services by coordinating food production and presentation. Implement cost control measures to optimize food management while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management with a focus on fine dining or hospitality environments. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams effectively. Strong background in food production, catering, banquet services, or restaurant management. Knowledge of inventory management, cost control, and food safety sanitizing procedures. Experience with menu planning, shift management, and kitchen operations oversight. Familiarity with dietary requirements and accommodating special diets within a culinary setting. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment. Prior experience in managing food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations. Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
