Kitchen Manager

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This pivotal role combines culinary expertise with strong management skills to ensure exceptional food quality, safety, and service standards. As a Kitchen Manager, you will drive team performance, manage inventory, and uphold food safety protocols—all while fostering a positive, fast-paced environment that delights our guests. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence and elevating the overall dining experience. Duties Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety procedures, proper food handling, and culinary techniques to maintain compliance with health regulations. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours and ensuring smooth workflow. Conduct staff training sessions focused on food production, customer service, and team leadership to foster a motivated workforce. Monitor food safety practices and ensure adherence to all health department guidelines for cleanliness and sanitation. Assist in budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost control initiatives to support financial goals. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service while managing restaurant operations seamlessly. Support catering events, banquet services, or bar operations as needed to diversify revenue streams. Experience Proven experience managing a fast-paced restaurant or quick service & fast food environment with a focus on kitchen operations. Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary management within casual dining or fine dining settings. Demonstrated supervisory experience supervising hospitality teams or managing kitchen staff effectively. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and inventory management. Strong understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures. Prior experience with inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams through training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Experience managing catering events or banquet services is a plus. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic environment while maintaining high standards of quality and service. $40,000.00 - $59,425.86 per year
