This position is ideal for someone who is a strong leader, thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed. The Assistant Manager will help lead the front-of-house team, maintain excellent guest experiences, support staff development, and ensure company standards are consistently met. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager with day-to-day restaurant operations Lead and supervise employees during assigned shifts Assist with opening and closing procedures Create and maintain employee schedules based on business needs Train, coach, and develop team members Help interview, onboard, and train new employees Monitor employee performance and address issues when necessary Ensure guests receive friendly, timely, and professional service Handle and resolve guest concerns or complaints Oversee cash handling, register procedures, and end-of-day reporting Assist with inventory, ordering, and product control Monitor labor, waste, and other controllable restaurant costs Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization Ensure company policies and operating procedures are followed Communicate effectively with the General Manager, ownership, and team members Help drive sales and identify opportunities to improve restaurant performance Support restaurant events, promotions, and high-volume service periods Step into service, bar, host, or other operational positions when needed Help create a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required Previous leadership, supervisor, or management experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment Comfortable handling difficult guest and employee situations professionally Basic understanding of restaurant labor, inventory, and cost control Experience with POS systems and cash handling Must be dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Food Manager certification preferred or willingness to obtain TABC certification preferred or willingness to obtain Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who leads by example. The right candidate can balance hospitality with accountability, understands the importance of teamwork, and takes ownership of the restaurant when the General Manager is unavailable. This isn't a desk-only management position. Our Assistant Manager should be comfortable being present on the floor, supporting the team during busy services, interacting with guests, and helping ensure the restaurant runs smoothly from open to close.
