Full Job Description Responsible For:
Managing the human resources and equipment of the assigned store to achieve the profitability, quality and performance goals as established by the Company or the Franchisee.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the entire operation of the store and the activities of the store staff. 2. Effectively train and manage the store staff to carry out their delegated responsibilities for operating the store. 3. Maintain a high awareness concerning customer service. 4. Maintain the highest standards of quality and store appearance. 5. Promote sales growth and insure a high profit margin. 6. Effectively control labor costs, inventories, and cash accountability. 7. Insure that a member of management is present during all hours of store operation.
Specific Functions:
1. Insure that the Company standards for customer service, quality of product and store appearance are met to promote sales growth and achieve or exceed sales goals. a. Supervise employee job performance so that all menu specifications, production, sales and customer service procedures are consistently followed. b. Continuously monitor the appearance and quality of all products sold. c. Monitor sales so as to assign personnel to the correct job station during peak periods. 2. Supervise Sales Manager and Shift Leaders, Bakers and Sales personnel. a. Direct all store operating activities and employees as necessary to meet the standards of the Company. b. Supervise the performance and responsibilities delegated to the Sales Manager and or Shift Leaders. c. Recruit, hire, orient, train, and monitor the progress of store personnel. d. Carefully monitor the operating controls for management, production, customer service, and quality of service and product. 3. Develop an effective Sales Manager and Shift Leader to assume the responsibilities which are delegated to him/her. a. Work in conjunction with the Sales Manager and Shift Leader to develop his/her managerial skills so that the store can attain the established goals of profitability and performance. b. Complete Performance Appraisals on Sales Manager and Shift Leader as scheduled. Review the appraisal with the Sales Manager and Shift Leader and discuss any developmental needs and strengths. c. Delegate additional responsibilities to the Sales Manager and Shift Leader as his/her capabilities develop. 4. Develop an efficient team of store personnel to assume the responsibilities delegated to them. a. Train and evaluate all store personnel. Keep the District/Area Sales Manager and Training Manager informed as to the efficiency of the staff. Cross-train to provide needed flexibility. b. Work in conjunction with each employee to develop his/her skills so the store can attain the established goals for productivity and sales. c. Effectively motivate, counsel, discipline, and communicate with employees to maintain strong involvement and efficient performance. d. Complete Store Employees Progress Review as scheduled for all non-management hourly personnel. 5. Plan, direct and monitor the efficient use of all store resources to attain established goals as set with the District/Area Sales Manager. a. Plan the projected needs for each day's sales, making sure that shelf inventories are within acceptable levels. b. Monitor food, paper, supplies and labor costs to achieve established goals set with supervisor. c. Complete a weekly work schedule showing all employee shifts (including management) which is consistent with the business needs of the stores and budget and no overtime being scheduled unless previously approved by the District/Area Sales Manager. All schedules must be submitted to Area Sales Manager no later than Tuesday of each week for final review. d. Schedule purchases of all products to insure that adequate quantities are always on hand for current business periods. 6. Observe established safety and security procedures. Monitor potential hazards of correction. 7. Maintain equipment in accordance with the Company's policies and standards. 8. Insure proper cash handling procedures are in place daily. This includes voids/refunds and shortages to be reviewed on a daily basis. Any suspicious activity needs to be investigated. 9. Responsible for store deposits. 10. Review and approve all invoices and insure a timely submission to the Corporate Office. 11. All stores paperwork must be submitted to the Corporate Office no later than TUESDAY of each week. The following packet must include the following: All invoices for the entire week. Separation Forms, if any. Weekly Inventories Monthly Inventories and Transfer Sheets 12. Conduct weekly and monthly inventories as required by the Company. Weekly F&B reports must be submitted to the Training Manager by Wednesday of each week to monitor all food and beverage percentages. 13. Review with the District/Area Sales Manager weekly/monthly costs and operating results. Set goals to increase sales and improve store efficiency/performance. 14. Conduct periodic meetings with store personnel to review goals, safety issues, operating problems and any other matters of importance. 15. Insure that all store operations and employment matters are in compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and safety regulations. 16. Insure that the store is properly opened for business prior to the mall opening and that the store remains open for business until at least 10 minutes after the mall closes. 17. Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
