The General Manager leads the operation of the Country Club. The General Manager has the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of the establishment, ensuring compliance with board standards in all areas of operation, including bar management, restaurant food service quality, product preparation, member relations, clubhouse and restaurant maintenance, ballroom and event coordination, swimming pool, inventory management, hiring, financial accountability, and ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each member.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Club Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Oaks clubhouse. The Club Manager is a supervisory role responsible for outstanding member guest service as well as successful operational and financial management. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to Efficient management of all clubhouse services, including dining, catering, banquets, front office, and swimming pool facilities. The Club Manager is responsible for recruiting, staffing, scheduling and training support staff, as well as ensuring the cleanliness , safety, and upkeep on all clubhouse facilities. The Manager will maintain effective and efficient inventory and supplies. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable TABC regulations, as well as local and state laws. As Club Manager, the successful candidate will plan, book and execute social functions and support internal marketing efforts for food and beverage services. TABC and Certifies Pool Operator License will be required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED. Undergraduate degree preferred. 3 Years of directly related hospitality management experience with 2+ years of direct leadership. Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office and Point of Sales systems. Proven supervisory and interpersonal skills
LANGUAGE ABILITY
This position requires excellent written, verbal and group communication skills. This position also requires the ability to read, analyze, create and interpret general business memos and documents.
MATH ABILITY
This position requires business math skills.
REASONING ABILITY
This position requires strong problem solving and decision making skills, and the ability to be flexible and adapt in any situation. SUMMARY This position is the front-facing, customer service and operations manager for the establishment. The daily working schedule is flexible but can be challenging, depending on seasonal events. Candidates can reasonably expect some 40-50 hour weeks including weekends and evenings. This position offers the successful candidate a career opportunity to advance and take charge of their career.
