Restaurant General Manager Job Overview We are seeking a fast casual, bilingual Restaurant General Manager for a Tacqueria concept in Prosper, TX. Base salary $55-65K depending on experience. The restaurant is closed every Sunday. Hours of operation are 7:00AM to 9:00PM Mon to Sat Duties Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth daily functioning. Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels while maintaining food quality standards. Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams, providing training in food safety, customer service, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and operational procedures. Monitor financial performance through profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and cost control initiatives to meet business targets. Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, culinary techniques, hospitality standards, and team leadership. Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. Conduct interviews for hiring new team members; oversee shift management to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Lead team meetings to communicate goals, recognize achievements, and promote a positive work environment. Collaborate with culinary staff on food production processes including cooking techniques, food presentation, and catering or banquet services when applicable. Requirements Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant management or casual dining environments with a strong background in food industry operations. Demonstrated supervisory experience in hospitality management or restaurant management roles. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary practices. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential. Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and health regulations. Ability to analyze profit and loss statements; experience with budgeting and cost control strategies. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and lead teams confidently. Prior experience in managing hospitality teams within diverse dining settings including casual dining or fine dining establishments. Basic math skills for financial transactions; experience in managing shift schedules efficiently. Knowledge of managing catering or banquet services is a plus; familiarity with managing bar operations is desirable.
