Restaurant Assistant Manager / Shift Manager (Multi-Location)
Work Sites:
Edinburg and San Juan, TX (requires the ability to travel between sites).
Compensation:
$44,000 annually (commensurate with background).
Availability:
Adaptable scheduling from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM, covering weekends and holidays (includes one weekday off; requires longer hours during busy periods). Role Overview We are seeking seasoned Restaurant Assistant Managers or Shift Managers to oversee day-to-day activities at several locations. You will be tasked with directing team members, organizing shifts, upholding high service standards, and optimizing both kitchen and dining room workflows. We are looking for a capable leader who excels in high-energy settings and possesses the ability to balance personnel management with operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Oversee both dining area and kitchen personnel to facilitate seamless daily service. Develop and maintain staff rosters tailored to operational demands. Facilitate clear and effective dialogue between culinary and service departments. Uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene standards to ensure full regulatory compliance. Analyze performance data, including sales figures and costs, on a recurring basis. Help onboard and mentor incoming staff members to ensure team success. Oversee supply procurement, vendor interactions, and stock management. Address and resolve issues raised by guests or staff with professionalism. Provide operational oversight across various restaurant sites as required. Requirements Prior background in a leadership capacity such as a Restaurant Assistant or Shift Manager. Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate, and manage diverse teams. Practical knowledge of operational tasks like inventory tracking and shift planning. Maintain a guest-centric approach to improve overall customer satisfaction. Proficiency in basic arithmetic and report generation. Openness to a varied schedule including early starts, late shifts, weekends, and holidays. Minimum of a high school diploma; additional hospitality credentials are advantageous.
