Job Description
An established, high-volume full-service restaurant is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of restaurant operations. This is a confidential search for a proven restaurant leader who knows how to build strong teams, drive results, maintain high operational standards, and create an environment where both employees and guests want to return. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator and strong people leader who is equally comfortable developing managers, reviewing financial performance, working the floor during a busy shift, and holding the team accountable to expectations. What You'll Be Responsible For Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house performance Recruit, train, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing management and hourly team Establish a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality Ensure consistent execution of food quality, service, cleanliness, and safety standards Manage scheduling and labor to meet operational and financial objectives Monitor sales, labor, food cost, controllable expenses, and other key performance indicators Review financial results and develop action plans to improve profitability Maintain appropriate staffing levels and develop a strong management bench Coach managers to become effective leaders rather than simply shift supervisors Address employee performance and operational issues promptly and professionally Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment, food safety, and alcohol-service requirements Oversee inventory, purchasing, cash controls, deposits, and other financial controls Build strong relationships with guests and effectively resolve service concerns Lead by example and maintain a visible presence throughout restaurant operations What We're Looking For 5+ years of restaurant management experience, with 3+ years General Manager experience strongly preferred Experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant environment required Demonstrated success leading both front-of-house and back-of-house operations Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L statements, labor management, food cost, and controllable expenses Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain strong restaurant teams Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to hold employees and managers accountable while maintaining a positive workplace culture Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and making sound decisions under pressure Availability to work the schedule necessary to successfully operate a full-service restaurant, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed The Right Leader We're looking for more than someone who can simply run shifts.
