Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! In this pivotal role, you will lead daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and motivate your team to deliver memorable dining experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee food preparation, manage POS systems, control inventory, and uphold food safety standards—all while fostering a positive and energetic work environment. Duties Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and optimal service delivery Supervise and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and team management to maintain high standards of customer service and food quality Manage food preparation processes, including cooking, food handling, and food safety compliance to meet health regulations and quality standards Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy and efficiency Control inventory levels through regular stock checks, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability Oversee kitchen management tasks including food production, catering coordination, banquet service, and managing culinary teams for diverse service types Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth and ensure team competency in food safety and hospitality standards Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement while maintaining excellent customer experiences Enforce food safety protocols including proper food handling practices, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, managing customer concerns promptly, and ensuring efficient restaurant flow during busy hours Qualifications Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience within the hospitality or food industry is highly preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and reporting Solid understanding of inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis within a restaurant setting Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage teams confidently Strong communication skills suitable for managerial roles including interviewing candidates and managing staff development Knowledge of food safety management practices along with experience in catering, banquet service or bar operations is advantageous Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining high levels of customer service in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for order calculations, inventory management, and financial analysis Passionate about hospitality with a proactive attitude towards team training & development Join us if you're ready to lead with energy!
