HOUR GENERAL PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to assist the Kitchen Manager with ensuring that Harmons' Kitchen department maintains quality standards and profitability. This person will be responsible for knowing all aspects of the full service Kitchen, helping train new associates, and providing exceptional customer service. This person will also determine production and inventory levels for Harmons' Kitchen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services Harmons' Kitchen provides Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the Kitchen Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items Ensures the Kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance Delivers excellent customer service to all customers Ordering product and creating production sheets to meet the needs of Harmons' Kitchen based on past and projected sales Active member of the Safety Committee which helps ensure the safety of both customers and associates Completes assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner Sets a professional and positive example to others Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Director of Kitchen Operations Ensures company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity are maintained Teaches, mentors, and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team Provides honest, direct, and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc. Writing the Kitchen schedule to ensure coverage and meet labor goals Quarterly inventory of all Kitchen products

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities: A high school diploma or GED and some college education are preferred; two years of kitchen experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Current Food Handler's Permit Ability to professionally and appropriately handle conflict Must enjoy working with and handling kitchen products Should have a passion for preparing, cooking, and eating food particularly kitchen items Ability to interpret policies and procedures Excellent organization and planning skills Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills to communicate with and manage diverse groups of people effectively and efficiently Ability to handle conflict professionally and appropriately Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one's own success as well as the success of your team Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons' mission and commitment to working collaboratively Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused, and consistent Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
