Overview We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Deli Bakery Manager to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the daily operations of our deli and bakery departments, ensuring food quality, safety standards, and excellent customer service are maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, culinary knowledge, and experience in food service management to help drive department success and foster a positive team environment. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily deli and bakery operations, including food preparation, presentation, and quality control to meet company standards. Oversee inventory control processes to ensure proper stock levels, minimize waste, and maintain accurate records using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Support staff training initiatives focused on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures. Supervise team members during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional guest experiences. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and register reconciliation. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation standards. Collaborate with management to develop menus, promotional activities, and operational improvements that enhance department performance. Experience Candidates should have previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a focus on deli or bakery operations. Proven supervisory or assistant management experience in food service or hospitality settings is essential. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred. Experience in inventory control, food safety management, and managing hospitality teams will be highly valued. A background in culinary arts or fine dining can be advantageous. Strong communication skills for staff training, team leadership, and customer interactions are required. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in basic math for cash handling and inventory calculations, along with managerial skills related to shift management, budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and staff development.
