We work hard, we take pride in what we make, and we have fun doing it! The Role We're looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead all kitchen operations at The Hubs Vine. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who takes real ownership of food quality, safety, and their team — someone who can run a tight kitchen while still making it a great place to work. You'll manage kitchen staff and vendors, help shape our menu and daily specials, and partner closely with our Events Coordinator and Market Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience every time. What You'll Do Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality, timely service, and a great guest experience Maintain a clean, safe kitchen that meets all health department and certification standards Manage kitchen staff scheduling, time cards, performance reviews, and coaching/development Coordinate with the Market Manager on cross-staffing, menu updates, and marketing of daily specials and events Partner with the Events Coordinator to build menus for special events and ensure flawless execution Cost recipes for accurate, profitable pricing and provide updates for POS/menu changes Manage kitchen inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships within an approved budget Maintain required food safety logs, conduct monthly inventory, and report on costs and waste Stay current on food safety and industry trends through ongoing training and education What You Bring Minimum 2 years of kitchen management experience in a comparable environment Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills Solid communication and organizational skills — you can prioritize, multitask, and anticipate what the kitchen needs before it's a problem Basic accounting/business acumen and computer proficiency (Excel, email, word processing) Western Tidewater District VA Food Handler's Card (or ability to obtain) Western Tidewater District VA Food Safety Manager Certification (or ability to obtain) Virginia ABC Certification (or ability to obtain) Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as our seasonal and event schedule demands Why The Hubs Vine You'll join a team that's grounded in family tradition but never takes itself too seriously — where craftsmanship, accountability, and a little bit of fun go hand in hand.
