  • This position is not with a restaurant but, a senior community center program.
Healthy Generations Area Agency on Aging is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Senior Cafe Assistant Manager to help coordinate the daily operations of our Senior Cafe. This role helps ensure a welcoming environment where older adults can enjoy nutritious meals and meaningful social engagement. You will work closely with cafe managers, van drivers/cafe support, and volunteers to provide excellent service and a positive experience for participants. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily cafe operations, including meal service and recreational activities
  • Manage inventory, storage organization, and submit supply requests as needed
  • Set up and break down activity spaces (tables, chairs, etc.)
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for participants
  • Provide excellent customer service with warmth and respect toward older adults
  • Reports to the Client Services Coordinator - Senior Cafe Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient with an interest in serving older adults
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Reliable transportation and background screening required
Preferred:
  • Experience in food service, senior services, or community programs
  • Food Safety certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to set up and break down tables and chairs
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$14.00 per hour
